Teddi

DOB 05/05/90 - 19/06/04

Of course when you have one Golden Retriever, another puppy for a doggie companion makes complete sense. So one year after collecting Henri, Teddi joined our small pack. From the moment we brought her home, I knew that this sweet small girl, was going to be someone special. Like all of our goldens, Teddi exhibited all the best qualities, becoming a 'Pets as Therapy' (PAT) dog in September of 1993, a role she performed with enthusiam and grace.  She was loving, kind and friendly, but there was something else there in this tiny sweetpea, melting mine, and everyone else’s hearts from the moment they met her. Happy, funny, easy going and joyous, it was Teddi who became our own nannie when my first daughter was born, teaching Libbi to walk, and joining in with all the mischievous antics that young toddlers invent. Always with an eye out for danger, it was Teddi Girl that truly cemented my love for this breed and I shall always regret not breeding from her. Teddi would have made a perfect mum, would have produced the most adorable babies, and I might have had her descendants here with me today. When the day came to say goodbye to this special lady we went for our final trip to the Beacon, shared a large lemony cake together and said our final goodbye with my face buried deep in her body. Losing Teddi broke my heart and to this day my eyes fill with tears when I think of her.
